Since I am well known for killing plants off by forgetting to water them, and I actually wanted my plants to live in my brand new SFG, hubby installed a drip watering system for me. It is attached to a timer and gives my plants the perfect amount of water. I’ve heard people complain that Square Foot Garden’s have to be constantly watered or they dry out and things die - but that will never be a problem here. Also, unlike a regular sprinkler system it doesn’t water the leaves, reducing disease. OK, so in a perfect world I would remember to do as the book instructs and pour a cup of sun-warmed water around each plant. Not gonna happen!! Here are the pics:

Those are strawberry plants - am still planting seeds!

And here it is attached to the timer and hose

Great idea! I’ve thought about doing this… maybe next year.
Oh and thanks for posting on my blog. Hehe I’ve already got your blog bookmarked but thanks for leaving it to get others to see your amazing boxes and drip system, etc.
Enjoy your garden!
