Growing strawberries

by plantgirl on May 21, 2008

Here is the picture of my recently planted strawberries. There are two different varieties here - I can’t remember what the ones on the left are but the ones on the right (with actual strawberries) are Ozark Beauty.

This just looks so good - it is still not all the way ripe though.

I want to get some of this “Better Reds” Mulch Film for my strawberries and my tomatoes. I mentioned this in a previous post, but finally found the stuff at Amazon - where I’ll get it if I can’t find it local. Or if local has the price sky high (as often happens here). I need bird netting too.

Here is a picture of my rapidly growing beets. I was so worried about them but shouldn’t of been - their doing fine.

I took tons more pictures but am going to have to learn to use the macro setting better for this sort of stuff - everything was blurry. I wonder what my neighbors think of this pregnant lady with her camera in a pile of dirt?? Hopefully they aren’t looking LOL!
