Well I have quickly discovered how very out of space I am to grow everything I want to grow - namely tomatoes - everywhere I look I find yet another tasty tomato recipe - from this tasty recipe for Tomato Risotto to salivating over the thought of ripe homegrown tomatoes sprinkled with salt.
I remember in my last pregnancy my food cravings followed a similar pattern - first cereal, then fruit, then very hard to find Chinese dim-sum, and finally tomatoes. Well at least I am nearing the end. Today my Mom brought over some tomatoes from the grocery store - looking at them was like sacrilege - to think of the difference in taste between the store monstrosities and the garden angels.
In any case my gardening budget is severely overdrawn and I will just have to hope things grow quickly. Or maybe just try to be patient and eat more fruit, cereal, and keep looking for that elusive Chinese dim-sum I’m still craving.

I want another SFG box too! I’m trying to convince Cam to build me a few more.
Are you pregnant? I had no idea. Maybe your baby wants to be multi-cultural with the Italian and Asian influences. ^ ^
There’s a great recipe for dim sum on this blog:

scroll down to May 2.
Have you tried fresh basil on your tomatoes instead of salt, tastier and healthier.

If you want a cheap tomato planter, I’d suggest a SWC. Check out Judy’s blog from Ft2Garden.com for great instructions. CHEAP bins that are amazing for tomatoes!
Sinfonian - thanks for the suggestion - will check that out!
Jan - thanks for the link, especially liked the dipping sauce and salad idea

I am pulling out my pea vines and my brocolli so I can add some hot peppers and some patty pan squash. I guess that is one way to get room…I love tomatoes and those recipes sound wonderful..I grow Basil right next to my tomato plants,,,they go so well together..,,,
Eve - thanks for visiting, yup I’ve just about had it with my broccoli (and spinach) I don’t even like them much anyway. All I really want right now is tomatoes - the weather keeps dipping down though so I’m afraid to plant them lol
