Tomorrow it’s supposed to be 80 degrees - very nice considering all the rain lately - but then, of course, the rest of the week will be raining and t-storms. I went on a rose planting spree about the same time as my strawberry spree and here are the results, in this digitally altered picture. Why digitally altered? For some obscure (meaning I can’t remember) reason, lavender/mauve/purple roses don’t photograph true to color. So I photoshopped this picture because these babies are NOT pink! It’s been a little chilly lately - not bad but definitely jacket weather. I’ve been too lazy to try figuring out a cover for the squares I planted seeds in - beets & spinach - tried regular old plastic weighed down with rocks but it got too windy. Maybe I’ll just see what happens?

Growing Onions:

Here is a pic of my sad looking onions. I started these in the burpee self watering seed starter and I’m not impressed. Of course, watering them with soft water supposedly doesn’t help - but I also think they were overwatered. Anyways, thought I’d give it a shot - looks like a few will survive at least.
